If you've ever sent us a DM, dropped us an email, spent a little too long staring at a product page, or found yourself wondering, "Wait... should I ask them this?", chances are, you're not the only one.
Over the last few months, we've noticed certain questions come up again and again. Some are about ingredients, some are about our packaging, and some are about why we do things a little differently.
So instead of answering them one by one, we thought we'd put them all in one place.
Here are 15 questions we get asked the most, and our honest take on each of them.
1. Will my skincare still work if I travel or the weather changes?
Yes, and that's exactly what we formulate for.
Your skin is constantly adapting to changing weather, humidity, air-conditioning, flights, pollution, and new environments. While your skin's needs may shift slightly, your skincare shouldn't have to.
Our formulations are designed to support your skin barrier through everyday environmental changes, making them easy companions whether you're spending a weekend in Goa, working through Mumbai's monsoon, or escaping to the mountains.
Because life moves, and your skincare should move with it.
2. What do you mean by "Skincare for People Who Move?"
It isn't just a tagline.
We created Long Story for people whose lives don't stand still. Whether you're rushing to work, travelling, heading to a workout, juggling meetings, or simply moving through everyday life, your skincare should fit into your routine, not interrupt it.
That's why we focus on breathable textures, uncomplicated routines and products that feel comfortable from morning to night.
3. Why does Long Story talk so much about wellness?
Because healthy skin doesn't exist in isolation.
Your sleep, stress levels, movement, hydration, nutrition and environment all influence how your skin feels.
That's why you'll often find us talking about habits, routines and wellbeing alongside skincare. We believe healthy skin is part of a bigger picture, not a separate one.
4. Why is Long Story part of run clubs and wellness communities?
Because skincare doesn't begin and end in your bathroom.
Being part of run clubs and wellness communities allows us to support a lifestyle we genuinely believe in, one that values movement, balance, and feeling good from the inside out.
We're there because we love creating spaces where people can connect, slow down, move together, and build healthier everyday habits.
5. Are Long Story products gender-neutral?
Absolutely.
Skin has needs, not genders.
Our formulations are made for anyone looking for gentle, effective skincare, regardless of gender. Whether you're building your very first routine or refining one you've had for years, our focus remains the same: helping your skin feel healthy, comfortable and cared for.
6. Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes.
Our products are formulated to be gentle and barrier-friendly, making them suitable for sensitive skin as well. That said, everyone's skin is unique, so we always recommend doing a patch test before introducing any new product into your routine.
7. Why are your products so lightweight?
Because skincare should feel like skincare, not a mask.
Especially in Indian weather, heavy formulas can feel uncomfortable and difficult to wear every day.
We design our textures to absorb beautifully, layer effortlessly and leave your skin feeling comfortable rather than coated.
8. Can I layer all your products together?
Yes.
In fact, that's exactly how we designed them.
Our products are created to work together as a simple routine: serum, moisturizer and sunscreen, without making skincare feel overwhelming or complicated.
9. Why do your bottles have an airless pump?
Because good packaging protects good formulations.
Airless pumps help minimise unnecessary exposure to air and contamination, allowing the formula to stay more stable over time. They also dispense a more controlled amount of product, so you use only what you need.
If your pump doesn't work the first few times, don't worry, it simply needs a few presses to activate.
10. How much sunscreen should I actually use?
Probably a little more than you think.
For your face and neck, the general recommendation is around two fingers' worth of sunscreen. Applying too little means you may not be getting the full SPF protection mentioned on the bottle.
And yes, even on cloudy days or when you're mostly indoors, sunscreen is still worth wearing.
11. Can I use your products every day?
Definitely.
Our formulations are designed for everyday use because consistency matters far more than intensity.
A routine you can comfortably follow every day will always do more for your skin than one that's difficult to keep up with.
12. How long does it take to see results?
Healthy skin takes time.
Some people notice softer, more hydrated skin within days, while improvements in overall skin health, texture and radiance naturally take a little longer.
We're more interested in helping you build healthy skin over time than promising overnight transformations.
13. Which skin types are your products made for?
Our products are designed to work well across oily, combination, normal, and sensitive skin.
Instead of focusing on one specific skin type, we formulate with skin barrier health in mind, because when your barrier is supported, your skin is better equipped to handle everyday challenges.
14. Can I wear your sunscreen under makeup?
Yes.
Lumishield is designed to feel lightweight, blend comfortably into the skin, and sit well under makeup without feeling greasy or leaving behind a white cast.
It was made to fit seamlessly into your everyday routine.
15. Why don't we believe in complicated skincare routines?
Because your skincare should work around your life, not the other way around.
You don't need ten different steps to take good care of your skin. What you do need is a routine that's consistent, enjoyable, and easy to come back to.
That's why we believe in doing more with less: thoughtfully formulated products, purposeful ingredients and routines that fit into real, busy lives.
Sometimes, keeping it simple is exactly what your skin needs.
